Gradients
The Designer
PDFPoint has a simple and easy to use Gradient Designer, so that you can have customised gradients on any object. It also comes with a selection of predefined gradients which make it easy to apply gradients quickly. The Designer gives you full control over the properties of each end of the gradient, including the colour and position of the endpoint. You can also move the endpoint using drag and drop on the preview window.
PDFPoint supports two types of fill: axial and radial. An axial fill is a series of bands at right angles to the axis of fill (the line joining the two endpoints), and a radial fill is a series of circles of varying radius drawn along the axis of fill. Radial fills can be used to produce spotlight, spherical or conic shading effects, whereas axial fills produce a more subtle effect.
