MDP Web Information

1. Introduction
The MDP web (MDPweb.exe) runs a simulation based on ball and spring physics to
determine the position of each alliance within the web. The provided data files (in
data/) and the wiki page (http://cybernations.wikia.com/index.php?title=User_talk:Bob_Janova)
allow you to run the web against the current state of CN politics with alliances as
'balls' and treaties as 'springs'.

You can download the latest version of this software at:
	http://www.redcorona.com/cn/mdpweb/MDPweb.zip

2. Control
Hover over an alliance to show its treaties, and highlight treaty partners.
Click the web to pause/resume the simulation
Press Space to pause/resume the automatic rotation of the graphics
Use B to toggle display of blocs, and V to toggle display of alliance-to-alliance treaties
Use N to toggle display of wars
Use F to toggle free camera mode

Movement:
In CENTRED camera mode:
- Use Left, Right, Page Up and Page Down to move around the web
- Use Up and Down to move closer/further away
In FREE camera mode:
- Use Left, Right, Page Up, Page Down, Up and Down to move along the camera's primary axes
- Use A/D, W/S and Q/E to rotate the camera

3. Display
Distant objects will begin to fade into the background if you move far away. This helps
to produce a 3D effect with a static image. Treaty lines are scaled by treaty strength and
by the average NS of the alliances involved. Alliance spheres are scaled by NS. The colour
of a treaty indicates its type.

4. Troubleshooting
- If you get a message like 'The program could not be initialised', install .Net.
- If you get a blank screen and nothing happens, try deleting locations.txt and re-running
the model from cold. I don't know why this happens (it doesn't do it for me) but I have
had a couple of people tell me this fixes it.
- If you get an IOException, make sure you have extracted the data files
- If you edit the web and get a FormatException, make sure you added the treaties in the
correct format (including the strength number)
